HAPPY NEW YEAR! – What are your thoughts?
By paul | January 8, 2009
Have you ever heard the saying; "We become what we think about all day long"?
Do you believe thoughts are like prayers?
The question is, ‘What do you habitually think about?’
None of us knows God’s will for certain at every moment of time. But, over time, His plans unfold naturally in our lives and then we can see what God had in mind all along.
Humans have a tendency to interfere with the Power of God by thinking thoughts that are less than God-like. This can block the good that God has already provided because we fail to "see" His blessings due to our limited thinking/perception.
As of now, 2009 is a blank canvas waiting for your imprint. So, to make this new year the best it can be, God expects us to be trusting, faithful, and obedient.
This month’s inspirational reflection gives us the instruction we need from the scriptures – Philippians 4:8 to be exact:
Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
There’s your formula to help make 2009 the best it can be!
Just thinking about Philippians 4:8 automatically makes you obedient to His will, and with the proper mindset, it’ll be easier to have faith and trust God, especially in these challenging days.
May God Bless you in a great way this year!
Sincerely,
Paul Koleske
